history: Jacqueline was originally born in New Orleans way long ago, and became obsessed with dancing. She danced alone often when she was younger, but as she became older and found burlesque when she was 18, and started dancing professionally short after.
She had had one lover previously to James, who had taken her heart, and destroyed it during her twenties. It was during that painful time that she began to feel as if dance and music was the only true thing in her life, and devoted her life to it.
One night dancing, James Abyss caught her eye from near the front, and he seemed to have nothing but eyes for her. With a secretive smile, she continued to dance for him, and the others in the audience, until it was time to step off the stage and into the back room.
Packing up and clothing herself with a thick robe to fight against the cool night, Jacqueline had stepped out, and into James. He asked her for a date, and eventually, she gave in, and started to court him.
She found that he owned and ran the local circus, and she was excited, because she had always been one if the circus's burlesque girls. They were together for six years before he proposed, and they got married at the age of 30 for her, and 38 for him.
It was that bond that was spelled by a witch of immortality, and after a malfunction, it was found that it was spread throughout the circus performers. They soon started to travel after that.
She couldn't get pregnant, so she suggested that they recruited children, which resulted in the kidnapping. Now it is just tradition, and Jacqueline is pretty sure she couldn't deal with having another child if she wanted.
She was nearly captured by the bounty hunters, but was saved from their grasps by James and Phoebe, who was sadly taken instead. She now searches for her niece.
